Mandy did such an amazing job photographing our wedding.
It was great to meet up first for the engagement photos, it meant we could talk about what we wanted and get to know each other, and helped Mandy find the perfect spot for our after-wedding photos. I’m writing this before even seeing our wedding photos. Mandy was like a super hero, not only getting all the photos we needed, but helping make sure the wedding itself was going smoothly. Mandy saved the day on our improvised video capture of the ceremony, her attention to details helped me and my groomsmen look sharp, she gave emotional support to my partner, and helped bring life to the party. I’m based in Christchurch and photograph all over Canterbury and the South Island. Whether it’s a family session at the beach, branding photos for your business, or a special event further afield, I’m happy to travel to where your story unfolds.

How do I book a session?
Just fill out the contact form on my website or send me an email. We’ll chat through what you’re after, and I’ll help you choose the right package and find a time that works.
How far in advance should I get in touch?
For portraits and commercial work, a few weeks’ notice is usually plenty, though weekends do book quickly. For larger events or seasonal campaigns, I recommend reaching out earlier to secure your preferred date.
What’s your photography style?
Natural, elegant, and relaxed. I aim to make people feel comfortable and seen, whether we’re working with kids, creatives, or a full team of professionals. My goal is always to capture real connection and honest moments, beautifully.
Do you help with locations or styling?
Yes! I’m happy to suggest locations around Christchurch and beyond, and I can guide you on what to wear or bring. For commercial shoots, we’ll work together to reflect your brand and message clearly.
When will I receive my images?
Turnaround time depends on the type of shoot — most portrait sessions are delivered within 2–3 weeks, and commercial galleries are usually ready in 1–2 weeks. Weddings typically take 4-6 weeks, depending on the season. During wedding season these times may be longer, I will be able to advise you on booking. You’ll receive your edited images via a private online gallery, ready to download and share.

Hi! I’m Mandy!
Based in Christchurch, I photograph weddings, portraits, and brands with a style that’s natural, relaxed, and full of heart. Whether I’m capturing a quiet family moment, the rhythm of a wedding day, or telling the story of a small business, I’m always looking for connection and the beauty in the in-between.
I’ve spent the last 14 years documenting love across New Zealand and Australia – from big celebrations to intimate elopements tucked away in wild places. These days, I’m especially drawn to the more relaxed, intentional weddings – the ones that reflect your story and your people, not just tradition. I believe the best days aren’t always the most perfect ones, but the most honest.
With a background in science and a love for the outdoors, I bring confidence, curiosity, and an editorial eye to every shoot. When I’m not behind the camera, you’ll usually find me barefoot in the garden, chasing light with my four kids, or exploring one of Aotearoa’s many beautiful corners.
A few things about me:
– Give me a camera, golden light, and a quiet moment by the sea, and I’m in my happy place.
– I’m raising four wild and wonderful kids – three boys and a baby girl – and they teach me more than I ever expected.
– I started photographing weddings in Tasmania and never stopped chasing beautiful, honest moments.
– Our wirehaired vizsla, Sylvie, is basically our fifth child. We also keep chickens, ducks, and a couple of frogs.
– I believe in kindness, the magic of small things, and second chances – and I wouldn’t be who I am without God’s quiet presence through it all.
